GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATIONS,
The Ceylon (Constitution) Order in Council, 1946.
In pursuance of the powers vested in the Governor by section 87 of the Ceylon (Constitution) Order in Council, 1946, the Public Service Regulations of the Government of Ceylon are by this Regulation modified, added to and adapted with effect from the date of the first meeting of the House of Representatives, to read as set out in the Schedule.

SCHEDULE.
Section I.-The Public Service Commission.
1. Every meeting of the Commission shall be presided over by the Chairman of the Commission or a temporary Chairman appointed by the Governor. The Chairman or temporary Chairman and one other member shall form the quorum for a meeting.
2. Every question at a meeting of the Commission shall be deter mined by a majority of the votes of the members present and voting, and in case of equal division of votes the Chairman (or temporary Chairman) shall have a second or casting vote.
